When I was a young boy I was listening to the radio what increased my interest in music. I bought my first set of turntables and a mixer and I started practising using the equipment being 14 years young. In those days I mixed all kind of music from Miami Bass to Acid. Soon techno became my preferred kind of music until one day in 1992 when I was listening to the first D&B mix tape from England. I was so impressed that I started playing both kinds of music. It was a time where only few people played D&B in Germany and only a small crowd was fascinated by it ;( Soon I realized that D&B and techno aren't well suited to each other, that the German crowd was not ready for the music. I decided to play real Techno and Techhouse only. 1994/95 the name DJ P.M.C. got known abroad. A non-stop DJ tour began around the world. 1996 I founded the label Genetic Rhythm Records. It was meant to be a platform for talented DJ's. But it came differently…the first publication was DJ P.M.C. (Mental Groove E.P.) because the DJ who should do it was too busy. I spite of the relatively simply produced Tracks respect was given to me. Indeed it was one of the few Productions without hihat / clap ECT. Approximately a year later The GRR 2 (Clubtraxx Vol.1) had been published and was available in every good record store this time in cooperation with a Frankfurt Techno formation, DJ P.M.C and me with the alias "Sample Tribe". This record earned more respect than my first one .It was a little underground Hit and was frequently played in the radio. The worldwide success came with the publication of the third GRR .DJ P.M.C. (Planet Attack E.P./inc. Subplate) in 1998 which was solo production of me. More than 20 labels for example Bonzai rec. Belgium, Red Alert Rec. Italy, Best of Thunderdome etc, licensed it… Genetic Rhythm Record was known to be a supplier of good DJ tools and DJ P.M.C.'s motto "May the Rhythm be with you" went around the world. From then on I was focusing more on producing and left the Dj thing left behind! Numerous remixes and cooperation under different aliases on different Labels followed. These Projects needed much time and that's why the number of releases on GRR decreased. 1999 the passion for Drum and Bass came again .I created the new alias TYPECELL because DJ P.M.C. was known as a Techno Producer. Typecell is for DJ P.M.C.'s non 4\4 Trax. With this alias DJ P.M.C. could earn respect in 2000 again. Typecell is known to be a good underground producer in UK and Germany. At the moment I'm working on the first LP of DJ P.M.C (Style Reformation LP) that will be available on CD too. 2001 I will launch new sub labels where new producers are going to be promoted. One can be anxious…
