They asked me to write down some words about The Sidemen – well, go out and try to gather information about three guys who excell in the high art of not being seen
I first noticed the activities of these curious three gentlemen at my workplace, a research center I’m not at liberty to talk about. I had noticed that my colleagues were mostly to themselves, scarcely coming out of their lab. Instead, weird sounds were to be heard from underneath their doors. Strangely enough, it sounded like music Music which hardly could have been produced by the strange machinery you see on the picture that I have candidly taken when they were too engrossed in whatever they were doing.
Outing myself as a fan of the surf sound they were secretly beating out, they trusted me enough to agree to record some tracks at the nearby “Zentral Studios” they appeared in their white coats, how about that.
These tracks were then published exclusively on the website of the German Rock ‘n Twistzentrale – until now This sampler features two of them for the first time on CD.
