Originally founded at the dawn of the new millenium it was in the year 2007 that GODSLAVE finally found a line-up that would allow rising from the underground to the stage! The five-pack from Germany abolished what had been dysfunctional for so many years and created a beast of obsession, madness and raw violence and GODSLAVE rose like a phoenix from the ashes!
Now the time has finally come in 2008: GODSLAVE entered the stage and published their debut record “bound by chains”, which contains songs of the old era that mark a worthy conclusion of this time for the band.
From this time on, GODSLAVE had already some successful local gigs. Furthermore, the played at the “Rockmania” Festival in Mai with PARADOX and GRAVEWORM, the “Saarbangers” Festival with POWERWOLF and the “Endless Summertime” Festival with FEAR MY THOUGHTS in June and the “From dusk till dawn” Festival with DESASTER in September.
In October, a dream will come true for the band when they are entering the stage with DESTRUCTION and many more (NEAERA, HOLLENTHON, FLESHCRAWL, ENDSTILLE…) at the “Metal Invasion” Festival in Passau! GODSLAVE are destined for the stage, that’s what they are born for and asses will be kicked live!
In Juli the band entered the SU2 studio with producer Phil HIllen to record the 5 – track EP “Out of the ashes”, which release will be celebrated on October 4th! The EP contains the first songs from the new, stronger line-up and show an immense development of the band in respect to the debut “bound by chains”. According to their credo “Old School – New School – OUR School” they thrash their own way through the 5 songs without blinders and unite Thrash Metal from the old school with lots of melody and groove.
All guns are loaded, they have risen out of the ashes…
