headcleaner started with electronic music around 1986. Influenced by Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode the first tracks were only simple sequences programmed on a Casio CZ5000 with integrated 8 track sequencer. The first digital drum machine was the popular Yamaha RX 21. In the very beginning the hardware was expensive but over the years more machines entered the studio. A big step was the Atari ST in the studio environment. Then the first samplers were available and in 1995 the first harddisk recorders and Windows based recording solutions came up. Some years ago the PC performance allowed to use virtual instruments and a complete fully automated studio environment. What a development in electronic music and music production.
The nick name headcleaner was given to Kai Holburg during recording sessions for a paniczone-production in 1992 while cleaning the DAT-recorder with a cleaning-tape.
Kai Holburg is the former third member of endanger founded in 1998.
Project sufferhead

The first sufferhead tracks were recorded and produced at Burlington Towers Studio in Burlington, Canada.
